Surprise Procedures

When you're in the hospital, you're pretty much at the mercy of doctors and specialist and technicians. In my experience, they always pop in with a painful procedure right when you're about to go to sleep or about to watch the climactic end of Big Cat Diary where you'll find out if cheetah Kike's babies will escape the mean lionesses of the Ridge Pride.

The following scene is a daily occurrence now that I'm a long term resident of the hospital. It has gotten to a point where I can hardly have a full night sleep without living in fear of being impaled with needles or being dragged from my bed and shoved into loud, clanging MRI machines.

  1. Wendy, I was so sad tonight driving home from work thinking about you. I'm sorry you are going through this. I am happy though that you are drawing hilarious cartoons like the one above in the shot scene. That cracks me up. Luis used to complain when he was in the hospital as a kid about those random tests they do when you're dead asleep. One time he freaked out yelling about getting the barbie off his arm which was really a scratch. He was hallucinating because he was on so many meds. LOL. I'm coming to see you, hopefully Wednesday this week. Maybe Thursday depending how late I get into SF. LOVE YOU!
